Keyless Entry Receiver

'99 Ford Crown Vic: Door pad and locks work, car does not respond to transmitter. (batteries were replaced, and 3 of them stopped working simultaneously. Receiver fuse works other components that are still working. Bad receiver?? Any ideas? TIA

I had a 98 Grand Marquis that did the same thing. The dealership had to reprogram the receiver in the car (for $25), but could only get one fob to work. I had to buy a second one from them (probably could have gotten it on Ebay for less).
