388 stroker
I have a 84 trans am and i recently put a 388 stroker and it ran great when it was on engine stand but when we put it in it has a slight knock and i was wondering if any one knows of a balancing problem or something that the motor just cant go into my car

I'm not sure if this is the problem or not....you might need to raise the octane in the gasoline. if you put in unleaded, and it needs more than 87 octane, it will make a clicking noise....

Try this, get a mechanics stethoscope, then you can put the probe end to different parts of the motor. Each "area" will sound different, but it should be smooth, you'll be able to notice if something's wrong.
