broken line behind headlight, 95 cavalier

Whats up all, i have a problem and i would like some help if anyone is willing.

I was replacing a headlight a deer had broke( and some dents and mirror and shit), and behind where the headlight was, i saw a broken line, im not sure what it is for, but it broke off at some cap piece, the line says fuel, flammable, not replacable

but ive had my car on and revving, but nothing comes out, someone said it could be somthing for the fuel to breathe or somthing? someone also said its a canister or somthing its connected to, the line runs back behind the engine and connected to an unknown location.

Any help guys?

thank

Re: broken line behind headlight, 95 cavalier

If it's behind the right headlight, and it's a plastic or rubber hose you're referring to-it's usually the canister purge line-look at the top of the ccharcoal canister for a broken fitting. They're hard plastic and they break easily.
