Hey guys new to the site but love my VW
I bought rims for my golf the bolt pattern is 5x114.3 and i am doin the 5 lug conversion but how much of a difference does it make from 5x114.3 to 5x100 but i also found out that the bolt pattern on a Passat 98-on is 5x112 if anyone has answers for me i would apperciate it thanx |

you have two options... and neither of them you'll like.
one.. find (or most likely) make (find a machine shop) spacers to adapt your 100mm spaced bolt pattern to 114.3. or get rid of those wheels and find somthing w/ a vw, audi, or porsche fitment that you can readily find adapters for. i know some people who have gotten wheels redrilled to their specs (a friend found a very very rare sent of zender tubos that didn't fit, so he had them redrilled) but depending on the wheel design that might not be an option. what car are these wheels supposed to fit on? and since vw wheels are a hub-centric design, if you don't have anyway to adapt you wheels to fit snugly over the spacer or your hub, you might run into vibration problems while driving... just a heads up.. good luck -naterkane |
