Bondo

Can you use Bondo on a plastic kit?
Are there any drawbacks to it?
Will it shrink?

What do you guys use?

I'm going to be adding a body kit and am trying to figure out how to fill and smooth some transitions.

Thanks

Chris

The only problem with bondo body filler is the fact that it doesnt stick to plastic. It wont eat the plastic at all because it doesnt stick.

Can a mod please move this back to the regular Model forum?

Re: Bondo

yes bondo will work

I used it before I switched to Tamiya

only problem is the putty crack very easyly if it's too tick (ok for filling, not for moding )

you can check the Integra hood on my web gallery, it'S the only bondo work i did.

You must have been using spot glazing putty. That is for filling small tiny holes in the Bondo body filler. The body filler is hard to crack, in small amounts its flexible.

I am using Bondo Bodyfiller on my Project Roadster, I can twist the side panels a little with out it cracking. Bodyfiller is made for large jobs, and is a lot stronger.
