mixture problem

its a d16y5 thats the hx engine in a 96' civic.
lets see where do i start, it is running very rough and started while i was driving. sometimes will start (roughly) and others won't. im getting spark to all my plugs and i can smell the fuel, pretty rich, when it will run, im thinking a mixture prob.
also i have a short air intake and it will make a wheazing sound so i took off the filter and only then could i hear clicking inside the intake i haven't changed the timeing belt for as long as ive had the car(2yrs) and it has 110k on it. could it be that? and, is the clicking sound valves hitting the pistons, or is the clicking normal?

don't know what the problem could be but it sounds like the noise you're hearing is just valve train noise? no reason there should be clicking besides that.

that is a common valve noise, you can just hear it alot better with a bare intake pipe. umm its not your T-belt cause that has nothing to do with A/F ratio and mixing issues..altho with 110k YOU NEED TO GET IT DONE ASAP, if she goes your out a motor! To the mixing problom it cuold be an array of things sometimes simple, sometimes not....if your sure its running rich, try adjusting your throttle body could be as simple as that..cause if its rich that means your not getting enough air so the problom is there somewhere ....we can figure it out
