Cabin Air Filter 2003

Location of this filter on a 2003 3/4 HD has changed from the 2002. Does anyone know where? The owners manual says it's under the passenger dash board, but it's not there -- dealership couldn't find it either.

Re: Cabin Air Filter 2003

i was told some of the newer ones don't have one but that was for the 2004's. if you've got one theres a strip about 1" wide that has one small screw(5.5mm or 7/32" i think) on the HVAC duct where the passengers feet would be.
If the dealer couldn't find it you most likely don't have one.

Re: Cabin Air Filter 2003

Thanks for response -- if you've pulled a cabin filter, they get very ugly. I looked again around the HVAC duct and there is nothing. The dealer didn't look thoroughly, they were just looking on a bet that it was there. GM corporate customer service advised that I could have the dealer do a "diagnostic" to find it. They should just tell the owner if there is one there or not. They may be trying to slowly phase them, each year on different models, without telling anyone???. Thank you for your info -- guess there just isn't one.
