Rant about how i cant find the perfect car for me to tune... (swearing, cursing, etc)

so yeah, pretty much im pissed off at how i cant find the perfect fucking car, i know that sounds kinda messed up and technically impossible to find the perfect car, but nonetheless im pissed... ive been searching for about a year and have had one helluva time, jumping from one car to another. im really into imports so even though i have found a perfect car for my budget, i havent found one for my tastes. the american car i found was an 80's camaro that i could get into 11's w/o nos for about 3000$, but guess what, i dont want it! why!??! cause i want an import thats why, but guess what, imports are too expensive. why the hell do import parts have to so expensive? a fully built pair of heads for a chevy 350 engine cost 1000$, thats ported, valves, springs, all the goods, guess what, to just port a fucking import head=$600+. then toss in valves, springs, retainers, etc and your easily over 1500 for quality parts. and then the only way to get any power out of a a cheaper import (by which i mean an econo car such as a civic) is to turbo it, the kit itself is at least 3000, but that doesnt include gauges, turbo kit upgrades etc, so really its prolly closer to 5000 if you want a good setup, oh yeah then dont forget that those little engines cant handle it! so you have to build the engine up, lets see, crank, pistons, rods, sleeves, oh around another 2500-3000 $$...

Cars are expensive. Get used to it, man.

Cheap
Fast
Reliable

Pick any two

Get a G20. They're slow at first (like civics) but rare (unlike civics). They handle really well and you can buy a JDM Turbo engine for around a grand if you can drop it in yourself. The following is loyal. www.g20.net

Just keep shopping around...eventually you will find the right one for you.

yeah or if infiniti's a little too pricey get an SE-R 200sx or sentra. same engine, lots of potential and a bluebird sr20 swap will run less than a grand like boingo said.

The G20 proves that you can put a 4 banger in a luxury car. But here's a better solution : Get a job that pays more.

Right. Because it's not like Audi, BMW, etc. ever let a 4-banger slip out of the plant, right?

The older Maximas are pretty good too - decent acceleration and equipment as stock, and they're mod-able.

I don't think he'll be buying a Audi or Beemer anytime soon. I meant affordable-wise, should have clarified that.

Maximas are very tight indeed, tho. basically any year is respectable.

Re: Rant about how i cant find the perfect car for me to tune... (swearing, cursing, etc)

Oh - yeah, Audis and Bimmers are kinda pricey - and the old ones are not known to be terribly reliable. That's something I like abt. the G - it was a lot of car for $20 and then it depreciated fast to boot.

I agree about the Maximas, my husband has a 99 and it's a great car. I just was mentioning the older ones b/c they are more affordable.

if you want a cheap, fast and reliable import, just get an engine swap done on your civic. pretty much any type r engine from other hondas should fit in fairly easy and will produce pretty damn decent power. Engines like a B18C5 from a type r or an H22a from a prelude will hammer out some awesome performance considering the low weight of the honda's.

if you really really don't like the civic and you're insistent on an import sports car then how bout the older supra's or mitusbishi 3000GT's. I hear they\re not too pricey in the U.S.

honestly though dude i'm not sure if you're a troll or what coz this is like the 3rd or so thread that you've started asking the same topic about what car you should buy, so i'm a bit confused. good luck anyway.
