Difference: LsD SiR & Non LsD SiR...

Sunday (track day) Im going to race this guy who has a bone stock SiR-II just like mine with LSD. My car is basically stock I have exhaust (Apex N1, Muffler Only) and H&R Springs. I told this guy last week that I would race him to see who had the faster SiR but one of the guys around here told me that I should just forget about it because the guy has LSD and I dont...Should I forget about it?

unless you have something up your sleeve it's more likely than not that the LSD equiped Civic will beat a Non LSD equiped civic. now the drivers are also a major factor in the equasion. Now if you want to stand a chance Gutt your interior and remove all non essencial equipment in order to save weight. ever 100lbs you eliminate shaves about 2/10sec off your time.

I would race him... but don't be suprised if he beats you... if he does it won't be by much.

A limitede slip differential doesn't make a car faster, it will improve traction. If you get a better launch, LSD or not, you can win. It depends on driver, and quite honestly, the difference between LSD and NON LSD trannies is felt in turns, not so much in a straight line.

LSD helps give a better launch, but it weights very heavly on the driver.
