Angry TBI 2.8 won't start

I have an 88 s-10 blazer 2.8, it was given to me for parts. So far I have changed: new fuel pump in tank, new module in dist.,swapped in a known to be good ECM,swapped in a known to be good(from good running 2.8)entire throttle body. Still, it wont start on it's own,but starts after putting approx. 1 teaspoon of gas down tbi. It runs like a new engine, idles fine. Performance is fantastic. Anybody have an answer or suggestions? Thanx for any response !

Re: TBI 2.8 won't start

check the fuel pressure. it might be bleeding off through the regulator or back through the fuel pump after the engine is off for a while. does the pump turn on for a few seconds when the key is turned to run?? if not check the relay. does it restart when the engine is warm? will it start cold if you crank it for a while??
