Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I am looking for information on lowering my 95 del sol vtec. I don't really know anything about suspension, but I wondered if anyone had this info or could refer me to where i could find it. I was looking at coil overs for my car. I want to lower the car, but I don't want to have to buy a camber adjustment kit. I want to know how far I can lower my car before i need to be camber plates. Also, should I just get the camber plates and not worry about how far I want it to go?

Re: Lowering '95 del sol
I believe the most you can lower it without a camber kit is 1.5", though I might be wrong. There are some other people here that should have better information than I. But you do get what you pay for. A quality suspension system will run close to $1,000.

Re: Lowering '95 del sol
im with fork, you can get away with about 1.7" until your camber starts going to hell..now keep in mind there are alot of "kids" riding around dropped to the ground without camber kits and they do fine, the only thing is, is that your gonna eat tires like hell and your handling will be reduced slightly....i always reccomend a set of tien dampers or tanabe sustec..but thats is money is no option....if you want to go as cheap but as good as possable....i say just throw on a set of ground control coilovers and drop it about 2" to 2.5" it will still ride good due to the ground control's and not low enough to really screw your camber..shop around you can get em around 300.......but me myself i would get a camber kit and get somethin nice that suits your needs best....let us know what kinda funds your workin with and we can surely give you our advice

Yeah, I really don't have a lot of funds. I was really just curios as to what my options were. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

Re: Lowering '95 del sol
Ok, I think I want to do something similar to this guy. I am looking to spend no more than 200 bucks to lower my car. I would like to lower it around 2 inches or so.
What is my best bet and where could I find either coilovers or springs. I understand if I need to up the ante a little bit to get camber kits, but I only need camber kits with springs, not with coilovers, correct? I don't know much about suspension, so any help would be great. |

Only way to achieve you goal is to...
Buy it from Ebay... one thing though that I know from experience and tuning cars... is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ...
