valve cover breather filter

i have a 91 eclipse gs will me putting a valve cover breather filter do anything or cuase any problems with the car and just capping off the hose to the intake can i do this??

No it won't cause problems, but some people say a filter doesn't stop oil from getting the engine bay dirty. Others have said that they don't have any oil through the filter. No harm in trying it.

Except I dont think the breather filters are cleanable. That cleaner kit is for K&N filters, not other ones believe me I have tried it on my HKS SMF. It killed the filter, and I felt a decent decrease in preformance.

i dunno, i guess your right i never tried to clean a breather filter i just figured if you spray some simple green on and wash from the inside out it would work. k&n cleaner is probly more expensive than a little breather filter anyway
