suspension lift

I have been looking at different lifts for my 90 Silverado Stepside. The shop that gave me a better than the rest deal, swears by BDS suspension kits. Does anyone have one or can give me some information on these lifts. I'm still up in the air (pun) on the 4" or 6" lift. I'm just not sure about the extra 2" on the 6"lift. I would probably like the looks better, but I don't want to get crazy with the ride getting rough, especially if they have to crank the torsion bars more. Won't that also wear out the front end faster (ball joints etc.)

At the same time I'm going to get a Flowmaster duel exhaust. I'm not sure about this one either. I don't know if I want the 40 or 50 series. I would probably love the sound of a 350 coming out those duels, but starting it up at 4:30 in the morning to go to work might be a little much for the neighbors. I used to have a 427 Vette with side exhaust. Could'nt be much louder than that!!

Let me hear your views,

90 Silverado
