I have a 73 Super Beetle and have some questions about it. I'm not a Bug afficianado, obviously, and am wondering about some details of the car.
It has a single pane of glass for the front window. After looking around a bit, I'm under the impression this is rare? Is it? Was it a factory option, a swap with an earlier/later year? Does it make the car more valuable for restoration/reselling? It also has the turn signal lights in the front bumper, not on the finders. Is this a factory option, an aftermarket mod already made, .... ?? Thanks for the help. |

Re: 73 Super Beetle questions
The one-piece windows are a common custom item, they are not original for a '71 SB and were never a production item. The bumper signals are added on also, however they could be from a later european or Mexican model. Signals in the bumpers began around 1980, after sales in the US ceased.

Re: 73 Super Beetle questions
Thanks much... it can be daunting to find answers to "SIMPLE" questions amongst the vast details.
