Question I need the low down about lowering

any suggestions for lowering my 95gs. I definetly don't want air bars. I do need some kind of adjustability. I want just enough to get rid of that nasty fender gap, about 1 1/2" worth, but I don't want to scrape on road turtles. any help would be great.

Re: I need the low down about lowering

Im not sure, but maybe you can just get 17 inch rims. From what i heard 18s are not that good for DSMs and just lower the car about 1/4 or 1/2 of an inch.

Lowering springs and shocks, or for adjustability, coil overs and shocks.

Re: I need the low down about lowering

yea a body kit may make it look like it is lowered....maybe 1/4 inch...if that.....yea but go with springs and shocks. Im not really sure but from what i hear eibach and Koni are very good....i wouldnt get a body kit though if you want the look of a less fender gap...itll cost you less to lower it with springs and shocks...also...there is much more better things to spend your money on

Re: I need the low down about lowering

A body kit will put the profiule of your car 1/2 an inch lower than stock. But will do nothing for the fender gap. 18's are fine. Not a damn thing wrong with them other than weight. Only get coilovers if you need to adjust your ride height. Ground control coilovers and either koni shocks or tokico shocks. If you go with springs get the eibach pro kit and your choice of shocks. If you have some money to spend go with full dampers. tien or apex make good ones. also I've heard good things about the dropzone dampers. tokico also has a good setup with the built in coilover and shock combo. it's all up to you. but if you lower the car more than 1 1/4 inches you're going to need a camber kit or you'll go through tires too quick and it'll shake at high speeds Good luck with whatever you choose. and drive saely with it lowered
