Tall Guy vs Eclipse

Okay first off I am a tall guy. 6' foot 5 to be exact. I was looking for a 3000gt recently but I can not find a good one. So I found an Eagle talon awd turbo. I have ectually sat in a eclipse 95. The steering wheel did not go up enough for my legs to move around. I also sat in a 2003 eclipse and the wheel did go enough it was nice. so my question is doese the 93 talon steering wheel go up more than the second gens.is there any difference in the leg room in the first gen and second.also is the acceleration of the auto turbo awd quick or does it lack the bite

I thought the 2g cars had more leg room. I'm 6'2'' and the seat goes back farther than I need, which is a first for me. Auto TSI isn't exactly slow, but the 5 sp. is definately more fun.

Well if you buy the 2g, there is a seat lowering mod that you can do. It requires some welding with the seat brackets. But helps.

I am 6'7 and fit like a glove into my 1g.

my bro is 6'5 and he has a 98 gs. Its so funny because he got to pull the seat all the way back and recline it to the end. when i sit in his seat i feel like im sleeping. its really hard to get 3 ppl in the car w/ him driving.

well its not that I am settling for an eclipse I sat in the 2nd gen and it didnt have enough room so I was looking at the 3000 gt, but hey lets face it the 3kgt looks damn sexy. I like the look of an eclipse too but I need to be able drive it. just out of curiosity will I be far behind a v6 gt 5spd eclipse with the awd turbo ATX talon

I'm not sure what the "new" Eclipses run, but you should be right around a 15 second 1320 time in a bone stock Talon.

is that with the ATX or manual. if it is manual how much difference in time is the auto

THe only difference under the hood is a slightly smaller turbo (were the injectors 390cc????). With a 100 purchase of a 14b the two cars would be identical (unless teh 390s came in the AT), and more than likely the AT would make for faster shifs.

Im 6'5, I have a 98 Eclipse GST.... I fit just fine with the seat all the way back and reclined a little... Dont even have to recline it all the way.. im confortable, and its a manual..
