Automotive paint

I checked today paint in auto shop. There's only one kind of paint (Duplicolor) and color choice mostly for american/japanese cars.
And it's metallic colors doesn't look fine for 1/24 scale (too big metallic pieces)
What kind of automotive paint do you use? Question for Dan I think
How it's compatible with plastic primer?

Another idea: make my own metallic color:
spray silver undercoat and then coat it with color I need
Who did this I'd like to look at results

I use Lesanol 2 pack basecoat, but only for metallics and pearls!
I use Halford's Acrylic otherwise.

You have to be careful with the primers, you must use a plastic primer first.
I know what you mean about the scale flakes, my S2000 suffers from that!
But at least you get the colour spot on!
If I am looking for a colour I'll chose one with scale flakes! My 2 Skylines look OK for that!

It is harder work, but worth the good finish in my view!

If you couldn't say it to me I probably never know!
You always make great shots. But it seen especially in rear 3/4 view

as for sunroow I think it slides like in most cars (on my Mazda MX6 it slightly tilts upward then slides to the back on two rails)
