95 Galant automatic transmission fluid

Hey anyone out there know whether the fluid level is supposed to be checked with car idling in neutral or park? Also how many quarts of fluid after filter is changed

according to our 1995 mitsubishi galant ls manual, the transmission fluid is supposed to be checked in neutral with the engine idling

i had the same problem with sonny's 95 the manual i found chilton or haynes says to shift through all gears then place tranny in drive and check fluid/ problem over, fluid ok/ in park( like every other car on planet) fluid reads low
