cheap ebay parts

I was wondering. whats the difference in the parts on ebay that are really cheep and the ones in stores that are expensive. like intakes. i can buy an intake on ebay for $20. or a sport muffler for $40. why are they so cheep?

its like the different in buying sony sterios or some imitation brand.... cept with the ones u see on ebay actually do the same thing as the expensive ones like weapon x and stuff...i

Sometimes whats being sold on ebay are manufacturer defects. Primarially the fittings are not quite exact so you have to fabricate fittings. they still work just fine just have to put in a little Extra work to make it work.
