im new to the rotary scene help!!!

hey y'all i have just been graced with the rotary power and im really impressed. im looking at buying one. the car i rode in was an 1983 rx-7, it was a little cabuerated thing; and ( a 12A i believe)it was damn fast, and they guy told me that the one with the weakest power. what do you think that the top speed is anyways? Well my story is that hes selling that car for 900 dollars, and i was wonder if that car is reliable, and what could i do to make it faster?? i was thinking a webber sidedraft carb, racing beat headers, and prabably my home made dual exhaust system. how much of a gain would i expect? and what else can i do. i want to do minor suspension work. it seemed like it handled like a charm. thanks for y'alls help

well ive seen rotaries put out 28hp to the wheels just with headers...straight pipe adds about the same hp, with true duals being the best....that is the BEST, and cheapest, way of adding big power to the rx7......i have a 88 GXL with the 13B rotary engine and i have straight pipe, and custom intake, and i stay up to the door of my friend's 2002 Mustang GT 5-speed from a launch....RX-7s kick ass

Re: im new to the rotary scene help!!!

You can really gain some power for the NA's with exhaust work, but then comes the NOISE.
