HELP windshield wipers posessed!!!!!!!!!

My buddy has a 94 Intrepid and every time the key is turned on the wipers will run 7 to 12 times at normal speed and then stop wherever they may be without parking at the bottom of the windshield. My experience tells me its the multifunction switch on the column thats causing the problem. I replaced the switch and it didn't fix it. It was an expensive mistake at $100 my price $140 retail. Needless to say but I want to do more research before we spend anymore money. I switched the wiper relays with known good relays and nothing changed. What I know is good are the relays,fuses,switch, power is good also. I know that after the switch is turned to the off position power still goes to the motor to finish the cycle and return the wipers to the parked position. I'm wondering if the BCM controls the relay to stay open and maybe theres aproblem with the BCM. It could be but I don't think it's the motor because the motor needs something to tell it what to do but at this point it could be anything. I have noticed there is no delay, it's either off normal or hi speed but the intermintent relay is good. I might have left out some info but I hope someone might help me. Our 92 dynasty's wipers won't run on delay or if you press the washer button(washer pump runs but wipers don't move) unless the engine is running so I think the BCM controls the delay partially based on RPM and it might have a loose or dirty connection. Did you try unplugging the BCM tocheck the contacts.

Thanks for the help but I fixed the wipers. It turns out it was the park switch witch is in the wiper motor. The reason the wipers would keep running was because the motor did not know when the wipers were in the park position. In turn it would keep going until it did.

I have experienced a similar situation with my 1994 Chrysler Intrepid. How did you fix the park switch for the wipers?
