Just got a '91 - some questions for y'all;

Found a very clean 91, so I grabbed it up. I'm gonna try to hold off the mod bug a paycheck or two, but some things I need to do.

1. Shifter. It's really sloppy - I'm not so concerned about the length of throw, but even in gear, it moves side to side quite a bit. Will an aftermarket shifter tighten this up? What else can I do? What's all this about a 'shifter stabilizer'?

2. Plugs / wires - What do you recommend as good quality parts?

3. Timing belt - How big of a job is this? Anything special to know about it? What's a normal price to pay to have it done?

4. Clutch - is this one of those 'auto adjust' dealies, or is there someplace to lower the pedal a bit?

5. Anything else I need to do right away?

Hi there, I just picked up a '92 Integra today....I simply won't pretend to know much about cars....this is meant to be a whole learning experience for me and I think it's going to be the perfect 1st project car...but anyways, my shifter does the EXACT same thing....very very loose even when in gear.....I was told it needs a "new rod"....my boyfriend understood what this meant...perhaps you will too....

Don't know if that was any help WHATSOEVER...lol.....
