Engine Swap

Hello,

I am going to be swapping out my 3.1 V6 engine in my 97 GA GT, I was wondering two things.
First, does anyone have any advice or know where I can obtain some good advice on how to swap the engine? This is my first engine install.
Second, would a 3.3 or a 3.4 V6 fit? If it will fit, will any modding be required?
Thanks in advance,

Nick

Re: Engine Swap

^ Agreed,

AED put a S/C LT1 in a 99+ GA
The administrator on GMPT put a 3800 SC in a 92-95 GA

But the 3100-3400 swap is the easiest, cheapest swap you can do.

Re: Engine Swap

well you would have to convert it to rear wheel drive buy the motor and all the hardware tranny and everything you would need the motor to run. then a drive shaft rear end. Like achivea said the owner of AED has a LT1 in his 99+ and from what i hear it cost him 8 grand or so to make the modifications and he did all this himself so its pricy to say the least.
