Re: tire question

Do you want a performance tire thats good in the rain? or are you looking for an all season tire?

If performance tires are what your after, I recomend the Kumho Ecsta Supra.. Ive got a Set on my supra, and Im gettin them put on my 91 Z28.. Ive driven them in rain and snow without complaint

i've had BF goodrich, firehawk, and a few other brands on my car and wasn't too pleased with the traction. so i decided to try something different so i bought a set of yokohama avid S/T's and i get better traction in the snow and rain than i've ever had. i know there kind of a cheap tire, but they wear nice, and there quiet on the highway. now my dad swear's on Goodyear Regata's, and they seem to be a pretty decent tire too.

yea you can also look into the componds of the tires, theres soft and hard compounds, soft compound youll get better traction but they wont last as long, with the hard compound youll have decent traction and they will last a good while, i have a set of mastercrafts on my car now, there ok for street driving but at the track they suck

Re: tire question

These are the tires im running on my 90 Toyota Supra.. They were $160 each cdn, installed and balanced For a decent goodyear, bf goodrich, etc performance tire, i was lookin at between 200 and 300 a tire.. So I was happy.. The website says that comparable competitor products were eagle F1's, G-force T/A's etc.. But they were just about double the price

Re: tire question

If you can find a set, Potenza RE 910, or re 950's they have tremendus amouts of grip, my friend that has the red GTP on my pic thingy uses them, he is putting out around 230 hp to the front whels, and it just hooks

www.tirerack.com

i recomend goodyear eagle F1's. the new redesign of them is very impressive. and it is getting very good reviews of its wet weather handling. probly gonna be the next set of tires for the IROC.
