Re: Still having problems?????? Help!!!
Its a 1992 S-10 Blazer. 4.3 Vortec V-6. 140,000 miles. It runs almost like it's clogged or starving for fuel.

Re: Still having problems?????? Help!!!
You didn't mention changing the fuel filter but, from all else you did, I suspect you did. How about a possible clogged cat? Hit the cat with a rubber mallet when cold and see if it rattles. Have you checked fuel pressure to see if your pump is within psi spec? How about a pinched fuel line somewhere? Bad fuel pressue regulator?? Have you replaced the cap and rotor - I have had some weird problems with these, believe it or not. Use only factory replacements - no aftermarkets if you decide to change them. How about the spark plug wires??
Did your truck just "start" doing it? Was it gradual? Can you attribute it to a specific point in time? Have you pulled for codes? You're replaced a lot of things that only a CEL might indicate actually need replacement. Have you actually scanned it? Sometimes codes don't always trigger a CEL. With a '92, you should be OBD I and a simple code scanner is cheap. How about a compression test?? Lots of suggestions come to mind but I think you may need to spend a little more time diagnosing rather than replacing parts - I've done that, too, so it's not in any way intended to be critical. I do hope some of these suggestions give you some ideas. Keep us posted and good luck - sometimes you sure feel like driving it over the quarry, huh? |

I had a simular problem with my '93, it was my egr valve, although I replaced it, found it was still sucking air, had to take it out and trim the gasket. Also although you aren't getting codes, you should still reset them, disconnect your battery for about 5 minutes to reset. But you did mention fuel, check your fuel pump.
