ANyone have any ideas to bring the shine back?
Like the subject says, I need some ideas folks. I have a dark blue 240, was going to sell it but not anymore. The paint is dull but not oxidized (Thank God). The guy I bought it off of didn't wax (this much is obvious) and if he did he probably just spray waxed it at the pay wash....Yuck.
Anyway, I was pondering on selling it but now I'm keeping it and getting another car (WRX if you must know), but I want tog et my 240 back into tip top shape as a weekend driver. |

Thanks!
Suhweet.....I've heard Meguiar's is good but a fellow 240 owner says that it wasn't worth the trouble or money. I've used Mother's scratch remover before and that stuff is great! Thanks again Bryants! Once I'm done I'll put some photos up of my baby.

If you're serious and have money to burn, use Zaino. There's a detailing section in AF ya know

Easy Logikal, my Mom could probably kick your ass six ways from Sunday....no joke!
mrflip.....yeah I know about the detailing section I've been reading AF for a while now but it is always more helpful to see what 240 owners say versus the general population. Zaino is pricey....I'm just a humble stock boss for a retail company man! If I made that kind of cheddar I'd be up on months worth of Zaino......

you gotta rub the paint down with a clay bar to get the dirt out of it. a detail shop will know what i'm talking about and probebly tell you where to buy it and how to use it. it'll work wonders, beleive me. Then after you wash, clay bar and wash again, wax the car.

Re: ANyone have any ideas to bring the shine back?
actually I detail cars at my dads car lot. ant the best thing you can do that will look like it is a brand new paint job is. 1. if you run your fingers over the paint and it sounds like a rubbing a paper bag use a clay bar. 2. if it isint like that find a product that has a cutter in it if it does feel like a paper bag then use a clay bar on it then use the cutter. You use the cutter the same way you buff a car. 3.Then buff your car with a higher quality wax and after you are all done it should look like what it did when it was a brand new car.
ill look for some cutters that would work good then i will repost. |
