EVO VII vs. US LANCER

I have been waiting for them to bring the Evo over to the US and I am glad they finally are.

I plan on getting one but not test driving it. I am going to put in an order asap.

I want to test drive a 2002 Lancer, before I order an Evo to see if I have enough room (I am 6' 4").

Does anyone know if they are the same size car inside in terms of dimensions, how far the seat goes back, and headroom?

Thanks...

they should be. I don't know why they would change, unless the US Evo comes with the JDM recaros. That might have some sort of effect.

Head room...

I here you...
the interior on both cars is reletively the same give a few micrometers.
The US EVO is said to have Recaro seats from the factory.
So the clearence from floor to roof is the same, but the Recaro might sit lower than than a US OZ Lancer right now.
The OZ seats adjust heith, so if they keep the same bracket, then maybe the US-spec evo will to.

Dont Be put off by us lancer

the us lancer dimensions r the same as that of the evos, but make sure u dont get impressions form the us lancer about the evo performance wise. the lancer we have now is a complete, and utter failure, it is a weak and useless pos.

import an evo

the imported evos will prolly ocst a whole hell of alot more than the usdm version, so unless ur dick is twitching for one and u got cash to burn, u dont see why the converted ones are any good, they also will not be the same quality as the original jdm.

Poor suckers at the company will prolly be out of business ocne the us comes, but if u r rich, then convert a evo 6 tommi, and wait fer the vii

Ummmm....
ok.
These two cars that you name off are more then likely made for the 'Average American'. AKA 5'4" - 5'-10", 160lbs - 190lbs. Seriously folks...

I'm a just barely cutting the 'Average American.'

Hello in there....

The link that I posted above is the specs on the U.S. EVO's. That is what they told me on the phone.
That is all the info they have at this time.

The word I heard from motortrend says the brembo's will be intact. 14-inch, 4-pot up front, 12-inch, 2-pot on the back
