MSD Ignition: A Whole New World?

These guys are Ignition Crazy... I never knew I could upgrade ignition so much until I saw their products.

My question is if anyone has used these products and also if they have gained significant gains in Fuel Economy, Acceleration, Performance, etc...

Now for my more specific questions...

1)What would be the ideal performance ignition controller for a 4 Cyl 16 Valve Fuel Injection 165 HP 4G64 Engine on a 2000 Eclipse? Also it is even possible to add an MSD Ignition Controller at all on this car?

And "Just keep it the way it is" is not what I'm looking for an answer.

2)In terms of Ignition wires, I've heard that magnecor is really good for wires. But these guys also have their wires and so anyway...
What's better? Magnecor Ignition Wires VS MSD Ignitions Wires?

3)On the homepage in the left hand side of the menu there's a smaller banner that says "2004 NEW PRODUCTS", which shows their Advanced Power System A.K.A. "Super Alternator". Would this be better than the stock alternator or is it the same?

4)How crazy can I go with MSD Ignition??? Or how many things can I change to make my ignition system extremely good.

I think you have just excluded the most significant answer.
Seriously, why do you think the stock system is in any way deficient?

Optimize the stock system with good plugs and wires, and you will be fine. Make sure the car is tuned properly.
Have your car's ignition timing advance curve plotted, that is, record the degrees of ignition advance relative to RPM. Then see if an ignition controller would give you a more optimal advance curve.

MSD would love you to throw your money at them to buy all their new parts. This is why they spend so much time and money advertising all their pretty parts.
You should arm yourself with some knowledge beforehand to make sure you will get a better ignition.

If the stock ignition system has it difficult to ignite the fuel in the engine a better system can increase performance otherwise it's simply a waste of money if it doesn't give a better ignition advance control (unlikely).

However, when changing from a TSI to a CDI system it can affect the caractaristics of the ignition (CDI systems give a short but powerful spark prefered in high speed engines).

Although having a strong spark gets very important when you have a lot of air/fuel stuffed into your cylinders/rotor chambers. And the thing its, the more air/fuel you have stuffed in there, the harder it is to get a strong spark to jump. That's why (iirc) the top fuel dragsters that are running at a cunthair from hydrolock have 60 amps per plug, and they eat up their plugs after just one run.
