Anyone heard of this game? I found it the other night, it's a PC game.

The game is a little too cartoony, I haven't played the arcade version but I hope it isn't like this. Needless to say, the game holds my interest when I get bored, it's actually worth checking out at least. I haven't heard any one else talk or mention it, so I figured I'd let you guys knows about it.

There was a thread on the PC game a while back, and not a good opinion posted at all. It was developed by a budget software company on the fly at Tokyopop's behest. As such, it's become little more than fodder for the "Tokyopop is destroying Initial D" argument.

The arcade game is far better, but then it was developed by Sega (I believe Sega's Rosso development team, which was also responsible for Gungrave) and that certainly improves the likelihood of any game (no matter how ridiculous) becoming fun. I mean, c'mon, this is the studio that convinced us we like talking to fish and rolling monkeys in plastic balls through mazes.

Hahaha well put. I'll admit I'm a little hungry and will eat anything fed to me by the software companies in the form of Initial D. Got a free PS2 here and am seriously debating getting a mod chip for it just to play the Initial D games.

And I can definitely see how this game didn't receive much fanfare. Budget game company... LOL They're called ValuSoft Oh well, the effort was good. I get so irritated driving along and it slowly guides me into it's own path, so I turn it off. It was free so I cannot bicker too much. l8r

The car got no drifting or any "automotive ablebility" of what is driving all about !!!

Trash it to the river!!!

I do not expect the game Play looks like NFS or GT(sony) but at lest put some fun gameplay & driving ablebility to the game.....
too bad , they dont know how to do it...(i guess the developer can't even drive....)

Octagon bucks not actual legal tender. Void where prohibited, which is pretty much everywhere. Collecting Octagon Bucks is not recommended if you are pregnant or have a history of heart disease. Octagon Bucks should not be taken internally.

I do not expect the graphics to look like Need For Speed or Gran Turismo, but atleast put some better gameplay and physics...Too bad they cant do it if their life depended on it...(i bet the developer has never driven before...)

or 2
depending on whats closer.
it's the only cure for the stupidity known as "tokyopop"
unless you were first exposed to tokyopop instead of the original Initial D, then you are forever doomed

Didn't read most of the posts, but I have played the PC game. Absolutely horrible would be an understatement. There's actually a button for drifting, that's just plain dumb. In a drifting game, I'd expect to at least have to use the e-brake, or a faint movement. Some sort of technique even if it's not 100% accurate. Just pressing a button is no fun. The game should have never been released.
