1999 4runner mod questions

So I'm tired of my plain ol' black shifter... how much trouble would it be to put one on that I've made. Making it isn't the problem, I just want to know about the wires and such inside of the shifter... would it be a big pain to swich them out?

And what's the prefered lift kit for a 4runner? I want a 3in suspesion lift. I found some on performanceproducts.com but not sure about brands and stuff.

I'd also like to know some good places to buy parts and accesories for 4runners.
