AirFlow Meter?
Hey people.. My girlfriends 97' RS 3.8L engine light keeps coming on.. The used car dealer where she got it doesnt want to help her, but mentioned that the AFM was really really dirty.. I was always weary about spraying anything into it, not sure if that will fry it.. Dont wanna wash the sensor down the driveway..lol.. then she'd want me to buy her a new one..
Anyway, anyone got any tips on how to clean this thing?? I heard of some people using carb cleaner while the car is running, or taking it out and spraying ether into it?? Any tips? |

Re: AirFlow Meter?
The bulletins that GM has put out in the past about cleaning the ait flow meter was to use a good carb cleaner. Remove it to clean it out then reinstall it and go.
