Geo Prizm Radio on LOC

My mother-in-law's 1994 Geo Prizm battery died and now her radio says LOC. Does anyone know how to reset it if the code is not known?

I am also interested in an answer to this question. I want to disconnect my battery, but do not know the code to the antitheft feature in the radio. Any help would be appreciated

I saw your message posted and I have a similar problem. I replaced a battery on a '91 prizm and did not know the code. I made a couple of attempts at the code and now the display shows INOP. Did you ever find out a solution how to bypass the code?

i have a 94 prizm and i had the same problem... i tried everything but to no luck.. i had to take it to the dealer and they charged me $40 to put in some new code... i ended up replacing my stereo altogether but when they gave me the invoice it had a code at the bottom with the number to unlock it.. mine was: 1955 .. now this may or may not work, they told me that they had to use some remote satelite to unock it (i thought it was BS, but who knows)

you can try it to see if it works, if not u might want to try the dealer

hope this helps... and if any of u know how to change the tail light bulb (left one), that would be much appreicated

She finally went to the Dealer and had it fixed, I never did find out the code.
