Haven't made that mistake yet Mike but I can imagine it's easy to make.
I am actually considering setting up another membership just to host the images I upload to AF.

Cant understand it beacause when i look at other members old posts/ threads all the pictures are there, yet looking through members galleries most dont contain any pictures. Must be a very small percentage here that upload in AF's gallery. i tried to upload at "imagestation" yesterday but couldnt figure out how to move pics into my AF thread.

Later, Mike.

i host 90% of my pics on another forum and then link them here. A few i might host on my free web server, but they dont like hot linking so i rarely do that.

Hey............
Whats "hot linking", never heard that before & whats the name of the forum you upload on because ive just been "fiddling around" on Image station.com and its not that good. I just wanna be able to take the pictures from a forum and paste them (as a direct picture and not a link-to) straight into an AF thread !!!

Thanks.

Re: Threads without pictures...........

I know that i've applied to a couple of threads already about this site but i think it's the best for hosting pics, so i'm sorry.
But, try http://www.imageshack.us/.
It's free, there are no limits on the # of pics you can upload, you don't have to sign up. the only limit is that the pic must be under 600k, which i have not had a prob with yet.
you just click browse, find the pic and click upload.
it gives you the link to the pic with the img tags around it just like AF's gallery, so you just copy and paste to your post.
the only drawback is you don't have any way of keeping up with your uploads unless you do like i do and paste the links to a word document arranged in order by post or car or what ever the pics are of.
I like it and i don't have a problem keeping up with the links this way b/c i paste them to the document as I ad them to a post. Plus if you lose the links the pics will still be up, if you need to post it somewhere else you can just upload it again.
Check it out, if you have any more questions just pm me.
you can also try www.250free.com but bandwith runs out quick.

BTW "hot linking" is linking another pic that is on someone's website or server to post on your site or post on a forum. If i copied a link to a pic on some website and posted it here i would be using the origional site's bandwith and most places do not like that, they want you to host the pic your self and use your own bandwith (i know it can be explained better but there you go).

For image hosting i use www.photobucket.com. Its totally free and I dont think there is a limit on pics. Photobucket allows hot linking and remote linking and all that stuff. I gave up on imagestation a long time ago
