Please help with electric door locks

Does anyone know of a way to "reset" the electric door lock system of a 2000 Pontiac Montana?

If you have the owners manual it will tell you how.
I changed the battery and mine did the same thing.
If you dont have the manual I will help you with it.

I do have the owner's manual, but it doesn't tell me anything about "resetting" the system. It does tell me what to do if I replace the FOB batteries and I tried that with still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
