Ad Nauseum Question...Ferrari Red?

Hey folks,

This has probably been asked ad nauseum, but I've got model kit examples of every Ferrari Formula 1 racer since 1997. I eventually will get to build them, but I take a good long time planning them and getting all the supplies I need before I get to them. My biggest question is with regards to the red used by Ferrari in those years. From what I've seen in pics, it seems like Ferrari used three shades in that time:

1. A bright, almost flourescent red for the F310B, the F300, and the F399. (I figured a Testor's Bright Red or Tamiya's Bright Red may be a good match, they're both very bright over a white or pink base coat)

2. A bright red with a somewhat orangey tint for the F1-2000 and the F2001. (not sure what to use for this-Italian Red with flourescent base coat?)

3. And a more traditional, but very vibrant red for the F2002 and F2003-GA. (I just sprayed a GT40 with Boyd's Red over white primer, very vibrant and a good match for the F2003 IMO).

Anybody have ideas?

Thanks,

Joe

Try to look up the company that uses the actual ink for the Ferrari F1 stallions.
