What are the differences in a SOA lift and a regular suspension lift? Is there a safety difference? Which is better in yalls opinion? And, I know on some mirror relocation brackets it says that they keep you legal on the street. So driving around town with the doors completely off and no mirrors except the rear view mirror is illegal? Thanks

Don't know about the lift technical question, but I do know that most states require a side view mirror at least on the driver's side. There are several available from Jeep catalogs, that clip into the hole where your door pin used to sit. I think they're about $20.

I live in PA and it is illegal to run without doors and mirrors. Everyone does it though. Local township cops give us a tough time but stateys and others seem to ignore us. SOAs, Spring Over Axles require a good bit of work and planning but give you great flex, great ride, etc... If you do it carefully your handling can be quite good too. Unless you have a lot of cash or can do it yourself I would consider a regular lift. I install a dozen lifts a year and the SOA is twice as much work but half as many parts. Rubicon Express has some great parts for doing both. I'm not trying to advertise for them but it's one of the only places I know to get the SOA parts.
