'96 Aurora - Optional Tire Size
Getting ready to replace the original 235 60 16 tires on my vehicle. This is the only size per the owners manual and various tire stores.
Has anyone installed a tire one size up? Fit problems? Recalibrate Spedo and DIC? Thanks - |

Re: '96 Aurora - Optional Tire Size
I have done a litte research on this but the tire size to keep the speedo working accurately is tough to find but is available. 255/55/16 looks like the best. Check this link; it's the most simple I have found.

Re: '96 Aurora - Optional Tire Size
Critical that you maintain overall tire diamter, the stock 235/60R16 is 27".
If you want to one up, the following sizes work 225/55R17 = 26.8" 235/55R17 = 27.1" 255/50ZR17 = 27" These sizes will have little (very little) or no effect on your speedo or transmission gearing. I just bought a set of 235/55R17 W-rated Eagle RSA with 17" 2000+ Bonneville chrome rims
