96 GMC Jimmy.....A/C and turn signal problems

I have a 96 GMC Jimmy 4x4 and have had trouble diagnosing an A/C problem. First, it seems like the compressor never stays on long enough, every so often it will just turn off and the air will go warm for obvious reasons. To get the compressor running again I have to rev the engine up to 3500 to 4000 RPM's, and I have to run the A/C on high or else it will cut out again.

On a side note, another problem I just had is with the turn signals. They just all of a sudden stopped working for no apparent reason at all, when you move the switch one way or another nothing happens. I checked all of the connections at the combination switch and checked the fuses and everything seems to work fine, everything else including the emergency flashers still work.
