h22 into accord
I have a 97 accord and im about to get an jdm h22 put into it. Im gonna keep the f22 tranny (although its automatic) for now. I was wondering how complicated it is and how many different wires there are? Could someone please reply and go as in depth as possible on the WHOLE swap or atleast the hard parts of it... I also have Zex wet (55 shot) nitrous will my tranny be ok with it and the h22? Since i have the same motor ill be red lining at 6 1/4 instead of 7,200 how bad will that hurt me in acceleration.. i also plan to rebuild my tranny, any suggestions there? well thanks..

you should get a h22 a/t with the tranny. first shifting at 6 1/4 will hurt acceleration alot. peak is a little after 7, when you shift youll probably drop out of vtec... and of course your stock tranny isnt geared for acceleration. i think it would be a complete waste to buy a h22 and shift at 6.

Re: h22 into accord
i agree with strodda. It will hurt ur acceleration a lot when u short shift. in the 1/4m it will probably take off a lil more than a second off ur times. Defeats the purpose of an h22. U wil get ur low end since it has more torque than an f22 but IMO not worth for an h22. Well now days everyone if going for show more than speed so if u really want an H22 then i respect that. Good luck with ur accord!
