Post take off

hi guys my 94 rodeo3.2L is slow to take off. I changed the catalylic converter, o2 sensor, fuel filter, and spark plugs. someone said it may take a couple of days for computer to adjust but it's been 3 days. what else could it be?, and how can i get my speed back????

Two things to check: 1) Make sure your MAF sensor is clean & working 2) I would not run anything other than NGK plugs in this engine. I see from previous posts that you have had T-belt tensioner issues. Did you replace this and the belt? are you positive your valve timing is 100% correct? All these things will cause serious performance & economy issues + you will overheat & destroy your new cat & o2 sensor if you are running excessively rich.

thanks i will check the MAF sensor too see if it is working properly, and i put the rc champion plugs in the dealer suggested. are the plugs you suggested any better

NGK's are one of the better spark plugs available. Most Japenese engines come with these from the factory. Later isuzu's come with denso / nippon denso spark plugs which are long lasting as well- but harder to find. Some 'zu 3.2's came with champions early on, but isuzu stopped using them because of ignition issues. IMO- champs, autolites and bosch split-fires are junk for newer cars. Check that valve timing first, a cam sprocket off a tooth or two will cause the issues you are having.
