Question 86 monte v8

Are there any advantages to converting to dual exhausts from single? I am going to have to replace the existing exhaust due to rust thru. If it is recommended, what do I need to look for in terms of problems. The car only has 54,776 actual miles.
Thanks,
Chub

Re: 86 monte v8

the only one i can think of is failed emissions test. an H-pipe is the most effective set up for duals because it equalizes the backpressure.
