i heard some bad things about '90 300zx i was going for a 93 or anything above a 91 and less then 96. thanks what year is the "best" year of these productions?

Not a bad-buy... low-miles for a '90! I'd get it! What have you heard about the '90's? I only heard about the '96's...

that is very low mileage for a '90, let alone any 300zx (at least the price range im looking at, which is less than what you are looking at). i have also heard about the '90 not being as good as other years, he didnt tell me anything specific but i told him i was looking at a '90 and he said to get another year.

i dunno, i think it was mainly the features of the car like air bags, stuff like that. but im not sure... i dont think its performence wise difference. but i was aiming for a 93 but if this is a good buy then i will get it maybe. since i do live in teh motor city, import cars are impossible to find esp. a nissan lol closes is a honda. but thats the same everywhere right? and is the price right for that? i mean i seen some other 300zx about 3-5k lower then that with lower milage such as this...

The tranny swap can be complicated and really isn't worth it. As far as the 90s go, 89 and early 90s production Zs had a few problems. The big one being "soft valves" Check the VIN.
