86 gt ditributor

I have a 86 gt v6 ... had no spark took off the cap found a broken wire to the module tried to pull the ditributor out to either fix the wire or get a new one the problem is it wont come out three dats of soaking in wd 40 the insides move when I crank the motor but the distriutor wont come out any help wouldbe grateful if I can get it out how much would a new one cost the junk yards around here only have four bangers in it

well i cant really help you bout getting it off...sounds like a real pain, but if it is a distriutor cap u need to get replaced...you are better off just getting a new one...they are not that much

A replacement dist. is about $135.00, turn the crank and pull on it at the same time. A pick up and a mod. is only about $25-$30 each.

ive tried to crank the motor and pull...its about 1/8 of an inch out about the thickness off a screwdriver blade...still in there the out side will turn back and forth about a 1/2 in turn then it gets stiff again,,,ive never heard of such a thing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Thanks
