this isn't the right place for this message but this is where I ussually suff so I figured its cool.

Okay I turn sixteen on april 18th, I want a Drivers license really bad, but my parents don't really want me to get one till im seventeen. Besides that I want to get a job, they don't really want me to.

Should I ask for the job first, and that it means I am doing more things and need better tranportation, or who knows what else he will do if we give him a car?

or wait until I get the license and then ask and play the game as it goes?

Im thinking if I don't get my DL I will just get the job anyways and then if they want me to quit I will tell them I will for a DL, and then if I get the DL in the first place I will run it by them.

That's a tough one. There is obviously a reason why you're parents want you to wait until your seventeen. Have a talk with them and see what their reasons are and share your reasons as to why you should have it when you 16. Also see if maybe if you wait until your 17 if they will get or help you get a car. And getting a job wouldn't hurt either. It will actually probably look like a good thing to them.

There's no need to wait. Waiting just prolongs the driver's ability to improve their driving skill and etiquette.

They are getting cooler about me working, atleast during the summer which is good.

Money is not an object, they don't want me to pay for anything cause then that gives me autority over the car get it? So if I own a car then I can be a bitch and do what ever the hell i want since its my car.

basically we live in Orange county, we have a 3 bedroom 1 soty house that falling apart and worth north of $600,000, and my dad just bought a $170,000 house in utah, and he only collects half his income to get into a lower tax braket, and then he plans on collectioning the rest when he goes for retirement, and he forks over a few grand every months to my grandmother, and to my older sister who is married to a guy who can't support his family of 3 kids. So, its not like they can't afford it. plus that we already own 5 cars.

no, they would tell me to renew my permit and get more prcatice that way.
