Help, Check Engine Light Problem!
I have a 1991 Nissan 240SX Super Hicas. I am having problems with my check engine light. The light goes on and off depending on where the RPM is at. I alway thought the when the check engine light comes on, it stays on. Not ON, at a certain RPM and then off when I step on the gas and then comes back on. Please someone help me. I am getting really fustrated on this and I don't know what to do. I need help.

hmmm a short maybe i dont no thats just odd...id prolly take it to the dealer or try another forum maybe. hmmm man that would get annoying. good luck....sorry for the non informative info lol iv never heard of that happening before. its only when u give it gas though right?

well i am in mode I and it will come on and then when i step on the gas, it will start to flash. It isn't a california model even though it is in california. I could try erasing the code and see if it comes back but I kinda want to know why the check engine light comes on. What you think just erase it?

did you see if the ecu is flashing a code? If it is flashing a code then that should give you a good idea of what the problem is. If it's not flashing any codes then I would just erase the code and see if that stops the check engine light from flashing.
In my friends car, a 92 mustang lx, his lights sometimes flash as well. The airbag light, ebrake light, and check engine light will all just randomly flash while driving down the road. We tried resetting the ecu, but no luck. It was pissing him off so we just disconnected the wires from dash lights.... that solved it. hehe
