Exclamation Autolite 104 gap question?

What are the benefits or problems of the Autolite 104's gapped (gap) at 0.55 or 0.50 (the original gap is 0.60, right?). What mods i need to run that gap?. When i need to gap the Autolite 104's to 0.50 or 0.55?

Before, i've gapped my Autolite 104's to 0.50 and my fuel economy was poor. Today i changed the Autolite 104's and gap it to 0.60 (original) and the car feels different with more power.

Comments?

Thanx a lot friends!

Re: Autolite 104 gap question?

The smaller the pulley the smaller the gap.

With a small pulley your pushing in alot more air and run the possibilty to blow out the spark.

We gapped the 104's on my buddies 99 GTP w/ 3.4 pulley to .55

I think I run mine alttle smaller then that.

Did you ever try 103s? Did you have problems with them?

Re: Autolite 104 gap question?

I was going to try 103's but have stopped racing for now and figure my gas mileage sucks bad enough now that 103 would be even worse
