programming keyless entry for a 98 camry
Hi I need help with programming a keyless entry for my 98 camry the
FCC# is GQ43VT14T. The current remote that I have has a different number on it FCC ID BAB237131-022. Can I switch remotes or do I need to stay with the one that came with the car from the factory. Can Anyone Help. Thanks Greg.

dealer told me that they would have to reprogram the keyless remote. each costs $150. good luck.

Camry didn't get the GQ43VT14T remotes until 2000. The remote you have (BAB237131-022) is for the Dealer/Port installed system. If you require the factory remotes, you need GQ43VT7T, which is the factory remote for 97-99.
