programming keyless entry for a 98 camry
Hi I need help with programming a keyless entry for my 98 camry the
FCC# is GQ43VT14T. The current remote that I have has a different number on it FCC ID BAB237131-022. Can I switch remotes or do I need to stay with the one that came with the car from the factory. Can Anyone Help. Thanks Greg. |

dealer told me that they would have to reprogram the keyless remote. each costs $150. good luck.

is the original remote rectangular in shape or more like a football shape?

Camry didn't get the GQ43VT14T remotes until 2000. The remote you have (BAB237131-022) is for the Dealer/Port installed system. If you require the factory remotes, you need GQ43VT7T, which is the factory remote for 97-99.
