Question What tires will fit on my rims??

hey there...i jus recently got a set of 15x8 pacer 241c's for my chevy s10...i need to know what size tires i need...like how wide. i would like some 50 or 55 series tires, but need to know how wide to get them. my friend has some 15x8s and has some 195/50's on the rims, but his sidewalls curve inward since the tires arent wide enough for the rims. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Re: What tires will fit on my rims??

The sidewall would poke out if the tire were not big enough for the wheel.
205-50-15 in front 215-55-15 out back would probably work good. Khumo's got those sizes.

Re: What tires will fit on my rims??

What year and model S-10 are we trying to fit? Which tire size/s did Pacer say will work on the S-10 model? The wheel will determine which tire sizes you can use safely. We would need more information to recommend tire sizes. I will never understand how a shop can sell wheels and not tell the customer what tire size will work with that wheel on that vehicle. How do they even know the wheels will work if they haven't test fit them with tires?

Re: What tires will fit on my rims??

the truck is a 1990 chevy s10, regular cab. 4 cylinder, 2.5 liter, stick shift. its actually a guy who distributes wheels, not pacer...

Re: What tires will fit on my rims??

With an 8" wide rim, I'd look at a 235/60-15 tire size. A 55 or 50 series would require at least a 16" rim and something wider.
