4g94

hello all its me again! i know that i have been asking questions like can the 4g63 be the same as what is in our us lancers and i was wondering if my 4g93 could be coverted to dohc, but now another issue has risen (SP) i dont have a 4g93. i dont know if all the us lancers came with the same engine because i know they didnt come with the same tires. i was looking the earlier today and i noticed that i have a 4g94 under my damn hood which makes me wonder again is this fuckin thing any good??????? i have found someone that has a 1990 galant with a 4g63 in it. it is an auto and had 96k miles. should i buy it and if so how much??

It is possible to change the 4G94 engine to a DOHC but it will cost alot of money. You would be better off just doing an engine swap. The Block of the 4G94 is bullet proof. Its a very good base engine to make a lot of power with, the only week part is the pistions in the engine. If you decide that you want to run spray or a turbo you must change these to a forged pisten...check out RMR's website.

what head do you use to do the dohc conversion for the 4G94. i would have thought it would be a 4G93 CE DOHC head because they are from the same family

running a turbo on a 4g94 does not require any changes to stock engine components. as long as your only running 6lbs of boost or less.

the 4g94 block is bulletproof. the only thing, if anything that needs to be changed would be the piston rings and valves.
