Engine Swap for 93 Ford Escort LX Automatic

Hey guys i got a task that i need help with. Im looking to do an engine swap and get a turbo installed for my scort. Now i know im gonna do some other things to the engine but as soon as i get it im gonna have a speed shop install the engine along with the turbo that goes along with it. If anybody knows of any places where i can get a fast engine or what type of engine to get some people recommended me to get a KZ-LE engine but i have no idea what that is or get a GTX/GT engine if anybody knows of any places selling these and what's the based price for one then that would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1993 Ford Escort LX. Four Door Hatchback. 122,000 miles on it. Automatic Transmission.

Go To www.corksport.com on the main page on the left hand side there are a group of links click on J-Spec Engines. The engines are used out of wrecked cars and they have less than 50,000 miles on them they have two for the escort around 1200 I think not sure though you will have to go thee and find out. They also have performance parts for the escorts.

Re: Engine Swap for 93 Ford Escort LX Automatic

if you still are wanting to do the engine swap i would recomend the SPI 2.0L out of the 97 escort. The engine is easer to swap then the GTX or the GT-R, you dont need a GT donor car. Its preaty much plug and play with the LX since its built on the same CVH block. You can also turbo charge it which i know a few people that have/are. Its just an idea.

CORKSPORT WON'T HAVE MUCH TO OFFER YOU, THE 1.8L GT IS A MAZDA PRODUCT, WITH THE 1.9L BEING A TRUE FORD PRODUCT, THEY HAVE NO COMPATABILITY, THE 2.0L SPI WOULD BE THE EAISIEST ON THE WALLET, BUT WITH A FAT WALLET,IMAGINATION AND TIME YOU COULD SWAP IN ANYTHING YOU WANT
